NEW HOUSE
It's official............move is on!
We will be moving to the Wilkie Downs subdivision over by San Angelo Country Club. We are doing a huge downsize, from 2720 to 1800 and something. It is an efficient 3bd, 2 ba with dining room and little spot for a cup of coffee in the morning. The Painting and cleaning all begin on Thursday!
If you have been in our current home, the colors will all be the same. In fact, some of the very same paint I already own. It is currently shades of blue, ok for them. But I need to make it ours. The blue tile in the kitchen - island and backsplash will go away. Granite will be templated on Aug. 6th and installed accordingly. We will likely get there to “live” about the same time.
The floor cleaning will be after at least some of the paint. Then stuff can be set into place. If we aren’t using it, it is being boxed - slowly but surely. Stuff will gradually be moved until we are ready to fully exit. Like I said, about the time we get a kitchen, we will arrive full time.
The kitchen will go back to “farmhouse white” with cup drawer pulls and rather rustic charm. We are also adding propane to the house. Mama cooks with gas - so another Thor gas 36 inch will be put in place. I really wanted one with a griddle, but geez they want an extra $1500 - $2000 dollars! So, my cast iron griddle will have to do.
When ever the house sells here, we will do some more. I will get a Shop / Art Studio building and Dene will get a golfcart. With the Propane, whenever the hot water heater dies, it will change to gas and low and behold - we have an electric furnace. If the furnace needs replaced it too will be propane. Yes, it of course has AC - just no heat pump devices. The electrical costs here are outrageous.
Official change of address sent after we are there! So, for now - we own two houses. God has called us out into deep water - we are “with Peter, OUT OF THE BOAT.” We Trust in HIM to see us through. Pray for a buyer, QUICK!
