Thought I would share a bit about Art supplies. 🎨 Since plein air is my thing, you know I brought art supplies. Just smaller. I discovered a lap pallette called StablO just before our trip. Since they were made in France, I visited with them and at their recommendation, had one shipped to the post office for pick up when we arrived. I brought my journal, (Diane, you will remember it) it is turquoise with a 6 ring binder. I punched holes for watercolor paper.
TTheSta lO board has a magnet across the top. The Watercolor set is from the Sennleir art supply store here (my souvenir.) The leather case has brushes that screw together. I will use them eventually. I have 3 sizes of paper with me, all very small.
My plan depends on the day. Within 15 minutes, I can capture something in a sketch to paint in Watercolor later. I have a wonderful husband that allows me time to do so. If we are able to spend a bit more time, like the Eiffel tower, I can get the basics and finish from photos.
From these, and there will be many - I plan to create paintings of many sizes. They will be available for purchase when completed. I will be posting them bit by bit. So subscribe to see them all!
We have visited the Louvre, D’Orsay, and La’ Orangerie. Have walked many miles, taken hundreds of photos!
Thanks to Kathleen Key's Art History instruction I knew what I was looking at and could share, mostly with Dene. But occasionally… endeavor to explain to another.
The food is amazing. We survived a pick pocket scam intact. Never ride the Metro they are crawling with theives!
I can see a book on this trip in a couple years. Allow time for paintings. I have 2 books in print now. Available though Amazon Kindle as paperback and e-books. They are print on demand.
IF YOU SUBCRIBE AT THE $50 ONE YEAR, IT WILL BE APPLIED TO A PAINTNG; as a $50 off. Become a PATRON for $350 you can choose an 11x14 which will be shipped direct to you, or larger and pay the additional cost.
There will be some wine note next!
Cheers,
Debra
