Happy New Year to all.
While we are live in a very broken world, I want to Challenge you today to make 2025 even better.
My junior year of college I gave the commencement address to the graduating class ahead of us. A positive mental outlook was the subject – and as we enter the New Year I am revisiting it today.
In 2024 I ran across a diagram and explanation somewhere on YouTube during a talk on this subject. While this is not the exact one it summarizes well. I wish to share it and my 2 cents as well.
We are what we eat. We are what we think. We are what we read and watch and take in. These come together and form the mind set from which we live. I challenge you to revisit Romans 12 : 2 – Do not conform to the pattern(s) of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. We need to think differently to live differently. Capture your thoughts – throw out the negative ones.
Yes, there are plenty that we can not ignore. Millions of words and ideas flow through our minds on a constant level - things that we are almost unaware of, a constant barrage of “stuff.” Evil puts them there to distract you from your tasks and drag you down.
Here’s a Quote: "I have not failed. I've just found 2000 ways not to make a lightbulb" is attributed to Thomas Edison.
Endeavor to focus on the beautiful, worthy, admirable things of this world. We all have these moments. Renew your mind - fight it. The hustle, crazy busy is largely a distraction to keep you off task. You will find that the change in mindset changes not just your energy, but the energy in the room. The vibration / frequency changes and becomes positive.
Energy patterns directly affect our health as well. Negative energy causing or aggravating disease. Positive energy raises immunity and improves health. A 10 minute walk can change your whole day. Sunlight – light wave energy is positive, and contains vitamin D.
I invite you to try any part of this! Get off to a Positive Start this year – see what is possible with a simple shift in your thought patterns can do; for you, your office / work environment or at home. Before you get out of the car, Pause. Clear negative thoughts from work, traffic or other stuff. Let it evaporate into thin air. Then walk in a greet your whole family. (pets included.
One of my Favorite Quotes "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be," and it is attributed to Abraham Lincoln.
Leave me a message, today – come back to this in a month. Tell me how it is going.
Hey Deb,
Cousin Tim,
Amazing insight on the Power of Positivity. I've known the Lincoln and Edison quotes a long time. I was reading Romans 12:2 yesterday. I used the Lincoln an Edison quotes often in some of my writings. Always good to hear from you. I enjoy your email everytime.
